Hi! I’m Kate,

I am a freelance copywriter and marketing consultant with over five years’ experience. Ever since I was a child, I knew I wanted to grow up to be a writer. English was my best subject at school, and I can remember telling the career adviser “if I can get paid to write, I’ll be happy.”

I studied English and Media at Leeds Trinity University, gaining valuable work experience in Doncaster Council’s communications department as part of my degree. Shortly after graduating, I landed a marketing assistant job at a national construction company. Within six months, I was offered a new position more aligned to my skills – PR & communications assistant, where I strengthened my copywriting skills and earned my CIPR Foundation Award.

After three years in this role, I decided it was time to work agency side – as a PR & marketing consultant for local business TB Marketing. I spent over two years writing, designing and managing websites for B2B clients like Swisslog, KUKA, Windsor Materials Handling, and Baumann Sideloaders.

Now, I have taken the plunge and decided to use the experience I have gained on both sides of the fence to work full time as a freelance copywriter and marketing consultant.
